The short version: Rivo is built for private, iterative multimedia creation with clear credit usage and real creative control.
Credits are used to generate AI content on RIVO. Each model has its own credit cost based on compute price, duration, resolution, quality, and whether you use reference media. Your plan adds a monthly credit allowance after payment is confirmed. Every paid plan can also buy one-time credit packs; pack credits are added after successful payment and stay separate from your monthly plan credits.
No. Your rollover cap applies to monthly plan credits only. Pack credits are purchased separately, do not reduce your monthly refill, and are not removed just because your plan balance reaches its rollover cap. Free accounts cannot buy packs; paid plans can only buy packs made for their active plan.
Yearly plans are billed once per year at the discounted annual price, but credits are still added monthly. For example, a yearly Creator subscription receives 2,700 credits each month instead of receiving all annual credits upfront. Your billing date is annual; your credit refill cadence stays monthly.
Yes. If you keep the same plan tier, Polar handles the billing switch immediately. Any unused annual value can be applied as billing credit before future monthly invoices are charged; it is not an automatic cash refund. If you also move to a lower plan tier, that downgrade is scheduled for the end of the paid period.
It depends on your plan. Starter and Creator can hold up to 1x their monthly credits. Studio can accumulate up to 2x its monthly allowance while the subscription stays active. Free credits do not roll over. Any monthly refill above your plan cap is not added beyond that cap; if retained credits are already above a new plan's cap, you keep them, but future monthly grants pause until your plan credit balance drops below the cap.
No. Monthly and yearly subscriptions have the same monthly credit allowance and the same rollover cap. The yearly option only changes how you pay: one annual charge at a better effective monthly price.
Prompt Enhance rewrites and expands your prompts for better generation results — it is unlimited on Creator and Studio. Brain is a Space assistant that helps you plan shots, refine ideas, and work with your canvas context. Threads Copilot is a multi-model AI agent with Agent, Plan, and Ask modes that helps you create images and videos. Brain and Threads Copilot let you choose premium models (Claude, GPT, Gemini) and share a monthly AI-usage allowance per plan — Studio includes 4× the usage of Creator. These AI assistants never spend your generation credits. Free and Starter include direct-only Threads, but no AI assistants.
Creator and Studio include a monthly AI-usage allowance shared by Brain and Threads Copilot (Studio's is 4× Creator's), shown as a percentage in each chat. Because it is measured by real model cost, the fast default model is effectively unlimited while premium models (Claude, GPT, Gemini Pro) draw it down faster — so you decide between stretching your usage or maximizing quality. When the monthly allowance is reached, Brain and Threads Copilot keep working on the fast model, and the allowance renews on your plan's monthly renewal date, just like credits. Prompt Enhance is unlimited and never counts against this allowance, and none of these assistants spend your generation credits.
The reference table on our pricing page shows how many typical generations each plan can produce per model at default settings. Numbers are estimates — actual credit cost varies with duration, resolution, quality, and reference media. Models marked with a dash are not available on that plan tier.
When you delete a space, storyboard, scene, generation, or uploaded asset, the corresponding files are permanently removed from our storage. Deleting a project removes its uploads and generations. Deleting a single creation from your gallery removes that output and its files. This keeps your account lean and our storage sustainable.
If you cancel, you keep access through the paid period already covered by your subscription. Once the subscription is canceled, paid plan benefits and monthly grants stop, but your remaining credit balance stays on your account. Those credits can still be used under the limits and model access available to Free accounts. If you subscribe again on a plan with a lower cap than your retained plan credits, we do not remove the excess; new monthly grants resume only after your plan credit balance drops below that cap.
Yes, if you are on any paid plan with an active subscription. Packs are one-time purchases from the credits page and are credited only after Polar confirms the payment. If a subscription becomes inactive before payment is confirmed, or if the pack does not match the user's active plan, the credits are not added.
You can generate as many assets as you'd like simultaneously. However, generation speeds may vary depending on the underlying AI provider's demand and queues. In times of high traffic, some generations may be queued or temporarily unavailable, but your credits are never deducted for failed generations.
Yes, absolutely. By default, all your projects, storyboards, uploaded reference images, and AI generations are completely private to your account. Nobody else can see them unless you explicitly choose to share them.
No. RIVO uses third-party generation APIs to fulfill your requests. Your prompts, images, videos, and project context are used to generate the assets you request and are not used by us to train foundational AI models.
No — canceling a subscription does not delete your projects or creations. You can still view and download them. If you choose to delete a project or generation yourself, those files are permanently removed from storage. We may remove content from inactive accounts after extended periods of inactivity, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If a generation fails—whether because a prompt violates safety guidelines, a model is temporarily unavailable, or any other error occurs—your credits will not be deducted. You will simply be notified that there was an error with your request, and your credit balance will remain intact.
Due to the high costs associated with AI generation and compute resources, purchases of subscriptions and credit packs are final and non-refundable. Same-tier billing switches are handled by Polar as billing credit or charge adjustment when applicable. Downgrades take effect at the end of the paid period instead of creating automatic cash refunds.
